Tour Experience
Each day offers three distinct ways to experience the journey. You can join one of our two guided cycling groups or choose to remain on the barge as it sails to the next destination, enjoying the scenic waterways from the deck.
Our Short Group—20–30 miles per day, is social and relaxed. Plenty of time for sightseeing (and maybe a coffee or two!).
For those who love to cover ground, the Long Group tackles 35–45 miles daily at a brisk pace—more ride, more adventure. Don't worry - this group also makes a coffee stop or two!
Biking here is social and relaxed, with frequent stops for local coffee, pastries, or beer along the way. Each morning we provide food for a pack lunch. While basic biking skills are required, our comfortable 21-speed hybrid bikes—equipped with panniers and gel seats—ensure a smooth and enjoyable ride for everyone. We offer 2 different kinds of bicycles; a step-through bike or crossbar bike.
Step-through Bicycle
Both Short and Long group daily rides are designed for cyclists who enjoy a steady ride and can comfortably cover about 10 miles in an hour before a break. To get the most out of the full adventure, riders should be ready to tackle up to 30 miles in a day in the short group.
Riders up for the adventure must have confident biking skills, including:
-
Able to hop on and off the bike easily.
-
Steering with one hand while signaling with the other.
-
Staying alert and reacting smoothly to the occasional “whoa, didn’t see that coming!” moment on the road.
