DAYS 3-12
Tour Adventure:

This southbound tour explores the remarkable river delta formed by three of Europe’s great waterways—the Rhine, Meuse, and Scheldt. Cycling along the dikes of the Dutch lowlands offers wide-open views and a deep sense of connection to the landscape. Along the way, historic fortified towns such as Vianen, Gorinchem, Heusden, and Geertruidenberg highlight the long-standing importance of these waterways.

As the journey continues, the river plains gradually give way to the forests and heathlands of Brabant. This region was shaped by the Eighty Years' War, when it was divided between Protestant and Catholic powers. Cities like 's-Hertogenbosch still reflect this heritage, with the impressive St. John's Cathedral as a lasting symbol.

In Antwerp, once one of Europe’s leading 16th-century ports, traces of past prosperity remain visible in its grand squares and architecture, as well as in masterpieces by Peter Paul Rubens. Today, the city blends this rich history with a lively cultural atmosphere.

Following the scenic, tidal Scheldt valley—with its shifting water levels, ferry crossings, and peaceful dike villages—the route passes through Dendermonde and Ghent, often considered one of Flanders’ most charming and vibrant cities.

The journey concludes in Bruges, whose beautifully preserved medieval center, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a fitting and unforgettable finale.

Please note that the itinerary is subject to change based on route closures, detours, and weather conditions.
